iPatientCare held its successful National User Conference (NUCON) 2012 at Hyatt Regency, Chicago, IL, from Nov 2 to 4, 2012.
iPatientCare Inc.'s annual National User Conference (NUCON) 2012 ended with a great fanfare and tremendous excitement among the attendees! The theme this year was Education/Exhibition/Entertainment and the conference was focused on Meaningful Use Stage-2, Care Coordination, and Patient Engagement
While the event offered multiple educational and training opportunities for end users; and included our largest exhibition from our business partners representing products and solutions that get embedded or integrated with the iPatientCare application platform, we didn't miss out on the fun either! One of the centers of attraction of the conference was the Gala Welcome Dinner and Cocktails Reception at the Signature Room, located on the 95h Floor of John Hancock Tower on Day-1, that is, Friday, November 2, 2012! These leisurely settings provided excellent opportunities for people to relax and network with each other, and of course, dancing to the tune of Bollywood lyrics and rhythm, fusion music created especially for the iPatientCare NUCON 2012 Event.
This year's keynote delivered by Udayan Mandavia, President/CEO and Kedar Mehta, CTO, iPatientCare, Inc. was stunning, an eye-opener, and reflective of the strategic vision and innovations/excellence in software engineering within clinical and financial information systems for ambulatory care. Mr. Mandavia unveiled the futuristically architected iPatientCare R13.
NUCON 2012 provided four general education sessions and additionally hosted numerous breakout sessions on iPatientCare EHR templates, order sets, decision support, administration and setup, iPatientCare Practice Management case studies, solutions for Rural Health Centers (RHC) and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and integrated third-party solutions.
The conference allowed end users and channel partners of iPatientCare to learn even more about the company and its solutions while enjoying a variety of networking opportunities.
"There is so much to learn within iPatientCare world, and we appreciate so many simultaneous sessions from the company during NUCON. You deserve many thanks", commented an attendee, which summarized the opinion of many others.
This year NUCON attendees were offered free one-on-one meetings with the iPatientCare's Chief Technology Officer and Senior Technology Officers, supported by engineering and application specialist teams. Such parallel one-on-one meetings provided a unique opportunity to the attendees to discuss their needs for software enhancements, training and integrations. Due to the limited availability of seats, the sessions were allotted based on the iPatientCare NUCON loyalty rating system. One of the long time user of iPatientCare EHR and PMS, Dr. McLeod was heard saying, "I'm very glad that I had a one-on-one meeting with Shripal Shah, STO. He was very thorough in understanding the issues and we could find a solution to many of the issues during this session."
Like every year, there was an Exhibition of cutting edge technologies that get either embedded or integrated with iPatientCare to make iPatientCare a unique technology platform instead of an ordinary software product!
NUCON 2012 concluded with an opportunity to understand, discuss, brain-storm, and learn about the User Collaboration within iPatientCare Community and Recommendations from the User Group.

iPatientCare participated and exhibited at MGMA 2012
A team of iPatientCare professionals participated and exhibited iPatientCare Enterprise Practice Management including Institutional Billing in the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) 2012 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas from October 21 to 24, 2012 at booth #1040
We showcased newly added institutional billing capabilities to the existing Web based Practice Management System to address the Meaningful Use requirements of RHC and CHC/FQHC. We are very happy to report that we saw a great deal of traffic at the booth and the event went extremely well. Many avenues of mutually beneficial partnership were explored with prospects and business partners. The attendees also benefited from a lot of networking and education opportunities.

VUCON (Virtual User Conference
2012)
What is iPatientCare VUCON?
The overwhelming demand from iPatientCare users and channel partners at NUCON 2011
to know more about iPatientCare product suite on an ongoing basis and not to wait
until NUCON 2012 has culminated into a Virtual National User Conference (VUCON)
every month! For instance, iPatientCare Release 12 was released by iPatientCare
at HIMSS 12 on February 21, 2012. Most of the iPatientCare users and channel partners
are curious to know what is included in R12 and what more would be released during
the year. iPatientCare VUCON precisely serves this purpose and can answer these
questions.
iPatientCare VUCON would be held on every second Thursday of 2012 until October,
and then it would be NUCON 2012 at Chicago! BTW.. iPatientCare VUCON will be relayed
on the fourth Thursday as well for those who cannot attend the one held on the second
Thursday.
NUCON and VUCON are complimentary and are not meant to substitute each other. NUCON's
value comes from the face-to-face contact with iPatientCare's designers and developers,
who remain present on site. VUCON would be organized and conducted by the Knowledge
Management Committee (KMC), constituting of individuals interested in documenting
and disseminating their knowledge of iPatientCare product suite, and would belong
to either iPatientCare, Inc. or a channel partner organization or an end user organization.
iPatientCare VUCON would provide great opportunity to all users and channel partners
to create and strengthen the iPatientCare community during the year, and ramp up
the momentum to meeting face-to-face in early November in Chicago this year.
Of course, iPatientCare VUCON will not able to provide a ride on a cruise or cocktails
and live music entertainment or simultaneous tracks but it would follow a similar
pattern of dissemination of knowledge on clinical and billing subjects including
presentations by the business partners whose products get distributed through iPatientCare
technology platform.
Who should attend iPatientCare
VUCON?
Well, those who plan to attend iPatientCare NUCON must definitely attend iPatientCare
VUCON! The sessions delivered through iPatientCare VUCON would be very hands-on
and provide great forum for discussing issues, concerns, and challenges some of
these advanced features may pose to active users of iPatientCare.
The whole idea of VUCON is to evolve a forum for discussing how best to use iPatientCare
products. Those iPatientCare users who have been effectively using iPatientCare
product can answer these questions better. And, hence, these Virtual User Conferences
can provide that stimulating atmosphere which brings out best of the questions,
concerns, roadblocks that users encounter on day-today basis, and also provides
a platform to address these questions by the Knowledge Management Committee.
How does iPatientCare VUCON
Calendar look like for 2012?
iPatientCare VUCON 2012 got kicked off with a session on HIPAA 5010. February covered
ePrescribing in greater details.
March 29, 2012 would host integrated solutions from SA Ignite and Easy Pay Solutions
who would present their tool MU Assist for auto reporting Meaningful Use measures
to CMS and Credit Card processing solutions respectively.

IPatientCare National User Conference 2011 was a huge success!
iPatientCare Inc. 2nd annual National User Conference (NUCON) 2011 ended with a
great fanfare and tremendous excitement among the attendees!
The theme this year was Education/Exhibition/Entertainment. While the event offered
multiple educational and training opportunities for end users; and included our
largest exhibition from our business partners representing products and solutions
that get embedded or integrated with the iPatientCare application platform, we didn't
miss out on the fun either! Leisurely settings such as the Gala Welcome Dinner and
Cocktails on the Cruise on 11/11/11 and the Cocktail Reception the following evening
provided excellent opportunities for people to relax and network.
In maintaining the program focus, NUCON 2011 followed the addresses of President/CEO
Mr. Udayan Mandavia and Chief Medical Director Dr. John Bartley with a wonderfully
informative and engaging keynote session Hidden Risks in EMR Implementation" delivered
by Michael J. Schoppmann, Esq. Including the keynote speech, NUCON 2011 provided
four general education sessions based on healthcare reforms centered topics of national
interest that shape tomorrow's ambulatory care.
NUCON 2011 additionally hosted numerous breakout sessions on iPatientCare functionality
to provide an opportunity to all attendees to discuss with iPatientCare engineers
their needs for software enhancements, training and integrations. NUCON 2011 also
had the highest participation from Channel Partners, who constitute an important
part of iPatientCare community.
NUCON 2011 concluded with a sneak preview and an opportunity to understand, discuss,

iPatientCare at recent AAP and MGMA events
October had been a busy month! iPatientCare executives and application specialists
participated in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference & Exhibition
in Boston and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Annual Conference
in Las Vegas.
We showcased iPatientCare's award-winning, easy-to-use, Microsoft .net and Web browser-based
CCHIT 2011 and ONC 2011/2012 Certified EHR which has been recognized by numerous
Regional Extension Centers (RECs) as a preferred solution and is available with
integrated Practice Management System (PMS) or to be interfaced with a third-party
PMS. We saw a great deal of traffic at the booths and are very happy to report that
both the events went extremely well. Many avenues of mutually beneficial partnership
were explored with prospects and business partners. The attendees also benefited
from a lot of networking and education opportunities.

iPatientCare EHR customer
demonstrates leadership in Patient Centered Medical Home initiative at the AAP's
Future of Pediatrics Conference in Chicago
American Academy of Pediatrics’ Future of Pediatrics Conference in Chicago (July
29-July 31, 2011) featured a demonstration of iPatientCare – Medical Communication
Systems (MCS) customers’ leadership in bringing the patient to the center of the
healthcare system!
Haverstraw Pediatrics, a four-physician practice located in Haverstraw, New York,
showcased at the Future of Pediatrics conference their success in achieving Level-3
(advanced) Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) status using iPatientCare EHR. PCMH
is an initiative under National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Physician
Practice Connections (PPC) program.
Using iPatientCare EHR, Haverstraw Pediatrics achieved PCMH Level-3 recognition
by scoring all the 97 out of 100 points for which they applied. The practice has
used iPatientCare EHR for five years and has benefited greatly from time saving,
increased efficiency and patient-centered care.
In helping Haverstraw Pediatrics transform into Patient Centered Medical Home, a
dedicated iPatientCare team worked alongside the practice’s PCMH-lead physician
Vidhu Thaker, MD, to identify data collection and report generation requirements.
Several templates were generated and refined over 3-5 months. iPatientCare’s Enterprise
Quality Reporting solution empowers the users to leverage such reports not only
for PCMH but also for other programs aimed at enhanced quality of care such as Meaningful
Use (MU), Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) etc.
iPatientCare EHR is designed to keep the patient at the center of the care delivery
by empowering healthcare providers to make primary care accessible, continuous,
comprehensive, family-centered, coordinated and effective. Through the iPatientCare
Patient Portal, patients can schedule appointments, request refills and referrals,
review lab results and patient education material and access their complete health

NCQA has developed a set of standards and a 3-tiered recognition process in the
form of PPC-PCMH program to assess the extent to which health care organizations
are functioning as a medical home. Obtaining recognition via the PPC-PCMH program
requires completing an application and providing documentation to show evidence
that the specific processes and policies are in place. It offers the recognition
at these three levels:

Showcase ™
The HIMSS11 Interoperability Showcase – Breaking Barriers to Interoperable Healthcare
- demonstrates the value of interoperable standards-based systems.
iPatientCare or Medical Communication Systems (MCS) demonstrates its interoperable
standards-based technology platform during the HIMSS11 Interoperability Showcase at booth #7343 in Hall
E of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Held in collaboration
with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise
(IHE), the Showcase is part of the
2011 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition from Feb. 20-24, 2011.
iPatientCare will demonstrate the iPatientCare EHR and its interoperability capabilities
via Health Information Exchange platform. iPatientCare as a leader in Medical Informatics
has demonstrated continued commitment to interoperability. Its EHR solution has
been at the forefront of achieving industry recognitions and certifications governed
by CCHIT, ONC etc. for Interoperability requirements implemented primarily by its
HIE and Enterprise Integration Adapters (EIA) platforms. iPatientCare also joins
the Connected Demonstration area at the Showcase that includes connected clinical
health IT products from using interoperable standards-based systems to improve patient
care.
Healthcare providers challenged by the meaningful use criteria will be able to connect
with health IT software companies that are part of the Showcase to view their products
and discuss their interoperability questions. In addition, the Interoperability
Showcase offers a series of events, activities and health IT solutions. These include:
- A Connected Demonstration area offers more than 70 live clinical information systems
care settings, such as ambulatory practices, hospital departments, public health
departments and clinical research labs, and more than 30 clinical use cases, highlighting
interoperable standards-based solutions, including IHE and other standards recognized
by the Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology.
- Community of Care tours allow Showcase attendees to view care settings from the
perspective of a patient as they visit multiple health service providers. Each use
case will describe a patient experience and display a seamless electronic exchange
of patient information- application to application, system to system and setting
to setting.
- Live Exchange includes live demonstrations of health information exchange at organizations
that have successfully deployed interoperable standards-based systems.
- The Showcase Theater provides presentations from more than 50 industry leaders covering
a range of topics including interoperability, IHE, lessons learned and real-world
success stories.
- Showcase Help Desks volunteers, who are health IT industry professionals, talk one-on-one
with attendees and answer their questions.
- Surf-the-Showcase stations let attendees print HIMSS11 Showcase use cases, theater
presentations, schedules and access other information about the HIMSS Interoperability
Showcase.

to Interoperability at IHE North American Connectathon 2011
Healthcare and healthcare information technology (HIT) continue to be a data integration
challenge for providers, consumers and payers of healthcare services. The challenge
could be insurmountable in the wake of slow and fragmented adoption of Electronic
Medical Records. The mission of Integrating Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) USA is to
overcome this challenge by driving adoption of standards-based interoperability
to improve patient care through innovation, standards profiling, testing, education
and collaboration. IHE’s annual weeklong Connectathon conference is HIT industry's
largest interoperability testing event. Connectathon highlights the organizations
and leaders driving the adoption of standards-based health IT solutions.

at IHE North American Connectathon 2011 across these IHE domains – Patient Care
Coordination; Quality, Research and Public Health; and IT Infrastructure. These
